The Led technology - cold laser

The cold laser anti-cellulite

Depending on the brand, these LED-laser diodes are combined with lymphatic stimulation or radiofrequency to enhance the effect of the LED diodes. The light emitted by the low-intensity diode laser acts as if to "liquefy" the contents of the fat cells and creates micropores in their membranes, allowing the fatty acids to be released into the bloodstream. This results in the evacuation of the fat cells (rather than their destruction).

Progress of the session

Pads emitting cold “red” light are placed on the area to be treated for 30 minutes. A slight sensation of gentle heat is felt as well as a feeling of well-being.

Radiofrequency can be applied before or after the cold laser treatment. In both cases, a gradual heat is felt without pain. It is recommended to practice 30 minutes of moderate exercise in the 12 hours following each session.

To obtain optimal results, it is advisable to limit the consumption of foods that are too salty or too sweet in the two days before and two days after the session.

The advantages of this cold laser treatment:

  1. Action on all types of cellulite.
  2. Visible action on the quality of the skin and the appearance of orange peel skin
  3. Progressive and rapid result (8 sessions in 4 weeks) – Respect for cellular physiology and tissues
  4. No side effects, completely painless treatment – A priori lasting result if the weight remains stable and if there is a good lifestyle

The disadvantages of cold lasers against cellulite

Results sometimes more difficult on hardened and/or fibrotic fat. In this case, radio frequency will be performed in addition before the session in order to defibrose the adipocytes upstream. They are suitable for all types of phototypes. However, for tanned skin or dark phototypes, the parameters will have to be adapted.

The results of the anti-cellulite LED

Most patients are happy with the treatment when it is correctly followed. There is an improvement in the silhouette with an average loss of 4 to 7 cm at the abdomen and 2 to 3 cm for the thigh circumference, sometimes even from the first session.

Number and duration of sessions

20 to 30 min for a cold laser session alone/by one area – 1 hour for LED and radiofrequency. In general, 2 sessions per week and 8 sessions over 4 weeks are necessary.

The opinion of the AFME (in France) on LED treatment against cellulite

Low-intensity laser treatment is a promising method against cellulite clusters: it is painless, physiological, non-invasive and easy to implement.

LED technology could replace liposuction for people with a small abdominal circumference, especially if it is associated with Cryolipolysis, with lipocavitation and radiofrequency.

For more fibrous areas, such as the saddlebags, the results will be real but often less spectacular in terms of volume.

It is also advisable to carry out a nutritional assessment in order to correct any dietary errors and thus maintain the results obtained. Physical exercise seems essential to us to prevent the released fats from settling back into the body.
